If Putin was going to launch nukes he would've done it by now. The Ukraine invasion was supposed to last less than a week. All bark and no bite, anybody still quaking in their boots over Russia's paper-thin military capabilities is an idiot. Fuck that dictator and the cowards who insist we appease him.
To be honest I believe calling that asshole "all bark and no bite" is disrespectful to the over 100000 people that have already died on both sides as a consequence of the war.

I'm talking about his yipping at NATO member nations, the US included. Russia started in with that rhetoric a solid year before they invaded Ukraine, and NATO has only grown larger since. Putin's been losing this war from the very beginning and will continue to lose as long as Ukraine continues to have the US and EU backing them. He cannot afford to do anything that would give NATO a reason to get involved more directly, lest the coalition ends him and the war within a span of 48 hours.

I am not sure where you are getting your news from? Russia controls about 20% of Ukraine land now. It's decimated the Ukrainian forces and pretty much every weapon that's been sent to Ukraine has been destroyed. I wouldn't say that Russia is losing this war at all, if anything they seem to be winning fairly easily. What I do see is that western tax payers are getting poorer with the politicians and arms dealers fleecing them for as much as they can get away with & paying for a war that is nothing to do with them.

Now from your point of view you think Russia started this war, from Putins point of view - NATO started this war with it's endless expansion and suppying non NATO members weapons and continuous interfeering in other countries politics and overthrowing their elected leaders to install puppet leaders. Not to mention the blowing up of Nordsteam 2 and the Kerch bridge and various other "terrorist" activities commited against Russia.

Now just imagine if the war ended tomorrow. How many Ukrainiain women that left a few years ago with their kids are going to return? Probably not very many as the kids are at school doing exams, those kids that are now young adults are settled into jobs and have created a new life and wouldn't want to go back most likely as their homes are destroyed and their fathers have been killed. Then you have the Ukrainian pensions of the future - who's going to pay those? Unless the west import the 3rd world into Ukraine (while stealing it's resources) I would say the future looks bleak for Ukraine whatever the outcome of this war. Even if a miracle happened and Ukraine did win (which is a non reality), it's going to have a massive debt to pay, have a missing generation and the women that are left are going to marry who?

Personally I think once Trump is elected in November, USA and the west will stop giving money to Ukraine, the war will end with Ukraine's defeat and the comedian dictator Zlensky will be removed from play. Russia will control most of the land it already has and Ukraine will exist with new borders. Brics nations will grow and the west will become weaker, the US debt will (already has) spiral out of control (currently just under $35 trillion, around $100,000 debt per person) and be unable to be repaid. The dollar will crash as endless borrowing and printing of money has weakened it substancially already, the age of the petro dollar will end in the next few years and that will be the start of a huge decline in the USA. Unless Trump brings all manufacturing back to the USA and creates new import taxes and stops all borrowing, while at the same time paying off the national debt.

With all the problems facing the USA, do you really think the current commander in chief with dementia that fails to string a basic sentence together without messing it up, and a VP that talks in riddles are the two best people to get USA out of the mess it's currently in? USA is in enough trouble as it is and needs someone at the helm with common sense that is able to actually lead. Do you really think deep down that sleepy Joe Biden is a good choice over Trump?

Jesus, looks like we have a сука блять in our midst! Xzi is right. Russia was expecting the country to roll over in a short amount of time, and they didn't. This part of the video sums it up:

Russia is doing extremely poorly, but that's to be expected with their historical track record for war. They lost nearly 7 million soldiers in WW2, They got their asses handed to them in Afghanistan (To be fair, so did most countries). Now they're past 50,000 dead in Ukraine.

Their main forces were decimated early on. Then they resorted to using their prisoners for fodder. Now they're relying on forced conscription. On top of that, they've gone begging to China and North Korea for help. Putin met with Jung Il twice in the span of a month to lick his boots for a few more rusty AK47's. They're destroying themselves. EVEN IF Ukraine falls tomorrow, Russia will be so horribly weakened for decades due to Putin's ego.

Say what you want about Biden, but he did the ONLY thing he should have done. If he did nothing, and let Russia steamroll Ukraine, the right would be screaming at him for abandoning an ally. If he sent soldiers, the right would be screaming at him for being a war monger. Not only did he give unused supplies, 90% of the money that was "given" to Ukraine was used to build weapons IN THE US! Basically funneling money into the economy (and weapons companies), while helping an ally. All while never having American soldiers die. Smart, right?

Would you have a better idea for what Biden should have done?

Lmao, there is no factual news source reporting that Russia has been winning. At one point they controlled closer to 80% of Ukraine, so being forced back to 20% now against an exponentially smaller military force is an absolute embarrassment. All Putin has left is bodies to throw at the meat grinder, Russia's equipment and vehicles have been decimated. By the most conservative estimates, Russia has lost five soldiers for every one Ukraine has lost. Putin sold out Russia's future for absolutely nothing, for all intents and purposes the country is now owned by China.

Russia never had 80%, it was basically what they have now plus some very stretched out forces around kyiv

Ukraine and Russia both haven't made many gains in a long time, but Russia is slowly making gains around Donbas - the momentum while slow is on Russia's side now unfortunately

True enough, they had forces spread across about 80% of Ukraine, but calling that "control" is a stretch.

If momentum can be measured in millimeters, I guess. Ukraine is starting to gain air superiority with F-16s, and once they're able to cripple Russia's ability to launch missiles deep into Ukrainian territory, the stalemate will become absolute. Russia didn't win any new support from the elections in France or the UK, which means Putin's final hail mary is getting Trump re-elected in the States. Hilarious that the very nation he's constantly declaring to be his mortal enemy is the same one he's praying will save his desperate despot ass.

They're not looking good or bad, the polls remain dead even and geriatric conservatives with landlines tend to be over-represented by them. It will all come down to whether or not people truly understand what's at stake. When turnout is up, Democrats win. Republicans rely on voter suppression tactics to gain control.

That shows a 48% chance. I agree it's higher than it should be, but far too few Americans consistently vote. Far too few Americans are given the accommodations necessary to vote as well, election day should be a federal holiday.
Yes we can be exact and say 48% but come on it's split 50/50

I agree an election held every 2 years should be a holiday, this is part of why the US is considered a flawed democracy

But mostly because gerrymandering, conspiring to keep out 3rd parties, questionable nominating process

The flaw was in allowing it to be reduced to a two-party system. Several founding fathers warned against that. Now even when the vast majority of the country plus one of the parties wants to change something, like implementing ranked choice voting and/or getting rid of the electoral college, the other party has enough power to make sure it never comes up for discussion. It's supposed to be a government of the people, by the people, and for the people, but Republicans don't believe they should have to care about the peoples' opinions on anything.

The constitution is very very difficult to change

The only thing that can change that document now is revolution

Til china invades, enjoy the popcorn

No shortage of people who want to see democracy dead, TBF.
True, this is terrible for democracy. Similar to what happened not so long ago in Slovakia with Robert Fico.

This kind of events are very bad symptom for democracy, elections should be won by voting. If thing are taken care via violence then this leads to violence on all sides, riots, civil war and the end of democracy.

Assassinations are never the answer.

Do not try to censor my comments. Project 2025 would be the end of both our democracy and our constitution. I don't condone any action which would make a martyr out of him, but he remains the biggest threat to this nation, and the justice system has failed to hold him accountable for his crimes/ties to foreign dictators. It does not surprise me that some people cannot contain their anger over that.

Censoring means removing or making your comment unavailable (suppressing). I wouldn't remove your comment, and also I can't. I am no moderator. (Check a dictionary if you didn't believe me)

And I agree Trump is no good future for America, but you and everyone must denounce an assassination attempt of a presidential candidate for what it is regarding the deterioration in the democratic process. Anything else is hypocrite. That is not the way.

@K3Nv2, I think the RP5 has had 8GBs for a while? I know mine has 8GBs not sure it's needed for emulation though? Probably 4GBs is enough for 99% of what it's fast enough to emulate? I could be wrong if it can do like GC and PS2 stuff maybe more is needed? Probably stream the ROMs like the consoles did off the drives.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I believe what they do is OS and translation layer (emulator) and the emulator has its RAM like 36MBs for PS2 so like 3 times that maybe as things are shuffled around, a frame buffer and. Load the data from the ROM file into that systems RAM. I think I read that even 2GBs is enough if your just using a Pi for emulation.
