Need to do some revision.

Correct me if i'm wrong.

1.a) 32 - 22/ 2 = 5 (solve for 22)

32 - 22 = 2(5)
- 22 = 2(5) - 32
(-1) - 22 = 2(5) - 32
22 = -2(-5) + 32

1.b) b(c + d)/e - f + a = g + h (solve for d)

b(c + d)/e - f = g + h - a
b(c + d)/e = g + h - a + f
b(c + d)= e(g + h - a + f)
c + d = (e(g + h - a + f))/b
d = (e(g + h - a + f))/b - c

1.c) abc/efg = h (solve for c)

abc = efg(h)
bc = (efg(h))/a
c = (efg(h))/ab

1.d) (5x + 8y)/4k - 2l = 3x + 3l (solve for y)

(5x + 8y)/4k = 3y + 3l + 2l
(5x + 8y)= 4k(3y + 3l + 2l)
(5x + 8y)= 4k(3y + 5l)
5x + 8y= 12ky + 20kl
8y = 12ky + 20kl - 5x
8y - 12 ky = 20kl - 5x
y(8 - 12k) = 20kl - 5x
y = (20kl - 5x)/(8 - 12k)

2) A Bus measures 10000um * 5000um * 2000um. (um being micro-meters)
a. pm3 (pico-meters)
b. Gm3 (giga-meters)

2.a) (V = L * B * H)

10000 * 5000 * 2000

= 100000000000um3

(i'm fed up of using the super-scrip tag now, so ^x will take it's place)
(my next step will be converting um to m)
1um = 10^-6m
1um^3 = (10^-6 * 10^-6 * 10^-6)m^3
= 10^-18 m^3

100000000000um^3 = 10^10 um^3

10^10/10^-18
=(^10 - ^18)
= -8
= 10^-8 m^3

1pm = 10^-12m
pm^3 = (10^-12 * 10^-12 * 10^-12)
= 10^-36 m^3

(10^-8)/(10^-36)
=(^-8 - ^-36)
=28
=10^28 pm^3

answer for part a. =10^28 pm^3

2.b) Gm = 10^9 m
Gm^3 = (10^9 * 10^9 * 10^9)m^3
= 10^27 m^3

(10^-8)/(10^27)
=(^-8 - ^27)
= -35
= 10^-35 Gm^3

answer for part b. =10^-35 Gm^3

Boil water and wait for the steam to rise. Technically, that's air [water vapor]. Now you've seen air. Move along.

Uh...

Air - mixture of gases
Gas - state of matter where the molecules are vastly separated from each other
Water vapor - the gaseous phase of water

So... Since water vapor is a gas and air is a mixture of gases, logically, water vapor is a part of the air. How do you think clouds form? Ya dig? Now, move along.
