Hacking Softmod my wii to play imported games

Hi.

Im gonna softmod my wii using the link below. I do it mainly because i want to play my imported Wii and GC games. Is this possible?

It's recommended that you use ModMii to softmod your Wii. And yes, after you use ModMii to softmod your Wii, it should be possible to play imported Wii and GC games.

Wat? I did not understand most of this. Should i or should i not use Modmii? I post this because i want to play imported games on my wii. And i wonder if my link was viable to that end.
