    Hi

My cousin has a Wii that has a Hardmod and he wants to Softmod is as well. He is unable to play newer games b/c they ask for updates and believes Softmodding will slove the problem.

I was wondering what would be the best way for him to proceed.

Its a Wii 3.4U. Has no idea what modchip he has. He had it done for him at a Store.

Older Wii. He bought it when the Wii was first released. I'll get the Serial Number if you need it.

    Thanks

if it's hardmodded updating wouldnt really hurt.

however since he's on 3.4 this is a good time to mod, use bannerbomb to install hbc 1.08 from there just update to 4.3 atleast with homebrew channel he's pretty much free to do whatever.

after that he'll have boot2v4 so if you can install bootmii boot2 and make a backup aswell as install homebrew channel again with his new ios 58 sounds like you don't really need any cios or anything since he has a modchip.

    So install Homebrew Channel.

    Then Update to 4.3

Then install bootmii boot2 and make a backup

    Re-Install Homebrew Channnel
