So which iPod are you getting?

I'm getting a 16GB Touch for my birthday (can't wait!), I'm gonna keep my 80GB too though, my dad can use it in the car for the radio so its worth keeping hold of. How about you?

Even with CX300, you will get worse sound quality than a Zen, I tested that myself personally. Creative has been in the multimedia business more than 20 years and they always had the best quality hardware. You can't go wrong with a Creative =]
And how exactly it is hard to use the Zen ? Maybe Ipod's wheel is easier for browsing but iTunes itself ruins everything.

Don't worry, I won't flame, but I do recommend a decent pair of headphones, too often I have found people saying that the iPod's sound quality is terrible and its just because they have a bad pair of headphones, or even worse, the ones the come in the box (shock horror!)

And to filozof - If you used iTunes for a while then you would see it is the best audio player out there. Its the only media player I'd ever use and its easy to use as is everything else on the Mac, give it another go, you may be pleasantly surprised.

I just don't like loads of buttons, Creative has yet to perfect the control system on any of their MP3 players so far, and there's too many models and no continuity between them.

I think zen is a much better range than ipod. I love my zen vision m. Better video compatibility (ie. xvid), great sound quality and better value for money.

I agree with flai though. They can be piss-off awkward at times.

I am more interested in audio really than video, and if I really want some videos on the iPod then I can spend the 10 minutes converting a few. If Creative bring out a Zen that is truely unique and an interface which is usable, I will buy one. Until that day comes, I'll always stay with the iPod.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not a fanboy by any stretch of the imagination when it comes to either Apple or iPods - I only bought mine for 2 weeks of laying around a pool in Egypt coming up shortly - but I am mystified by everyone slagging off the sound quality on the ipod ????? I'm quite satisfied with mine - you guys shoud have been around in the days of the Walkman & cassettes if you want to know what shit sounding really means.

newer Ipods sound awesome. I think they all remember the older ones with the shitty sound. The new ones have top of the line DACs so if you have good headphones they will sound the awesome

I was thinking about getting a Zune, but the lower price of the 80G model convinced me.
