So what’s the difference between Nvidia GeForce 1080 ti or the 1080 gi

    The difference is that the 1080ti is real and the 1080gi isn’t even a thing

    If you mean the G1, that's just what Gigabyte calls their version of the 1080, it's worse than the ti.

    At this point, you may as well wait for a few weeks for the 2080 to arrive. Prices for the 1080 Ti should drop.

    I have an RX 480 8GB and probably won't upgrade for another refresh or two. Curious about the upcoming 2060, but since the 3xxx range is likely to drop next year with the 7nm process I feel upgrading this year would be a mistake.

    You could always upgrade to a r9 390 8GB. Most are $200 or less on eBay

    That's a good suggestion. My PC is pretty old now, since I bought it in 2014 or so with some lower end stuff like a 650 Ti.
