Oh, the code for the exefs. I was hoping it would be some kind of RAM hacking method similar to ARCodes.

ARCodes ? Don't you want to say "QRCodes" instead ? And the Cubic Ninja QRcodes are an entrypoint.

Oh, sorry. But modifying the .code file could lead to cheating, RAM/savegame editing, and more. Do you know if it is possible with HANS to modify the .code with an homebrew one ? I don't know why, but it doesn't work. I would like to know why however.

Some games were released on cart in some region (Musou 3 in japan) and as an eshop exclusive on another (Samurai warriors 3), this could lead to booting musou 3 in english for sky3ds users.
Triforce heroes uses the same engine as albw, the same logic may apply...

I do believe that smea left some sort of "ap check" so Hans would not load a full game in place of another...

My theory is that the exheader code set specifications (http://3dbrew.org/wiki/NCCH/Extended_Header#System_Control_Info) probably prevent the code sections of other games from fitting properly within the areas set up for the launched game. That, and possibly differing access information for services, etc.

the Musou 3 example, in fact should work, as we do not NEED to have .code replaced, but it would be nice to do so.

Actually we tried to align and fit sections for a .code file. And it doesn't work either.

I was messing around with *hax 2.5 today and noticed a thing. If you launch the system settings through HANS and set the region to whatever, e.g. Japan, you will not be able to use Miiverse or eShop (if you try launching them from the home menu, a message will popup saying your region settings don't match the NNID).

I was wondering, what if I call Nintendo and make them unlink my NNID (I can pretend I sold my console), then signup for a Japanese NNID? Shouldn't that enable me to use JPN eShop & Miiverse?

Sorry to break it to you, but what you've done isn't as amazing as you think.
It just changes the region that you set in the settings. Not the actual system region.

I managed to create a JPN NNID and get into eshop. Unfortunately, it just loops at the loading screen. And I know why:
I haven't got a valid JPN SecureInfo_A file in my NAND. So, no access to JPN services
