    Hi Guys!

I got a few questions, that I hope some kind soul could answer for me :)

So, here is the thing. I have been overseas for long time and just got back to my country of origin last week. So for the past 14-16 month or so my Wii U has been left behind in a box in my garage and I have not touched it yet. But planning to start play with it tomorrow.

But before then, I just want to ask a few things, because I dont want to screw anything up since I plan to get homebrew later and I honestly dont remember much about the Wii U interface or anything so please bare with me. Okay so anyway...

    1. I do already have homebrew installed on vWii, can I update the firmware without getting any problems?

    2. As I understand from this thread: https://gbatemp.net/threads/beginne...me-backups-and-homebrews-on-wiiu-vwii.388448/ there is now several exploits that can be used on several different firmware. Could someone give me a quick update on what kind of exploits these all are? And whom of them are I interested in if I want to play pirated games with as good experience as possible?

    3. I have no idea what firmware I have right now, will look tomorrow but I would guess it is a really old one for sure. But what should/can I do?
3A. Should I just block updates and avoid updating at all?
3B. If I update will I then get the latest version automatically can I update one by one, and stay on the firmware I like?
3C. (Back to question 2). What firmware would be best to be at, if I want to use exploits for Wii U homebrew?

I will appriciate any answers, and I know these questions probably been answered over and over again. But since I been gone for so long, all the information on the web about this is just so overwhelming for me right now to understand. So if someone could explain this to me in a simple way I would be really happy! :) Thanks / Deez

Why facepalm? Is it that hard to understand that it is not easy to understand everything that has happend since the last time I played Wii U? :P
Not that easy to understand, one one new thing you read reffers to another new thing you also have not heard about before, that reffers to a exploit you never heard of before and so it goes on.. Believe me not so easy to "get back in the game" and understand everything again right of the bat :P

But Im glad if my thread made you feel joy! :D

You see, everyday, no, pardon me, EVERY HOUR, there is a topic like this.. if people would just like... read trough the first 1 or 2 poages of this section, you can find EVERYTHING! you need and want to know.
    F.A.Q.
    Exploit Details
Tutorials on how to launch the game.
This "Could someone give me" its a meaning of "i don't want to look trough the first pages to understand what happened", it's not that you don't understand, its that you don't want to read, that's it.

There is literally a topic sticky'd that answers every single one of your questions labeled exactly what you are asking.

Second, its against forum rules to ask how to pirate things.

Close this thread an ban this bozo.

I know exactly what you mean, and this is why I asked very kindly :) Because I have read, but I dont understand so.. I asked if someone could explain to me the things I dont understand, thats all :)

    — Posts automatically merged - Please don't double post! —

And I linked that sticky, in my post as a proof that I have read it because I dont understan. Ofcourse I have read everything I have seen on the topic already, it is just overwhelming, thats all :)

Every single one of your questions is answered in an easy to read sticky on the first page. Once you put effort into the sticky, feel free to ask questions.

Like literally every single one of your questions is answered in that sticky you posted in plain English.

I also recommend you delete this topic, make a new account and not ask how to pirate games. Its against the rules.

There is also a search button, so alright, lets do a test, ask something you don't understand, if the answer/explanation is not on the wiki, first pages, stickies, or search, i will kindly answer if i know the answer, however, if i find the answer with those methods. then it will be a prove that you just dont want to read trough. so,
    Shoot me your question.

Dear OP, if you read all the stickies and you are not able to understand those easy guides, it means that you are not ready to pirate games yet.

I linked to the sticky you are talking about several times, I have read it several times. I just dont understand it. What else do you want me to say? :P

    This for example:

    "- Latest WiiU firmware : 5.5.1
    - Latest safe WiiU firmware version: 5.3.2.
    - Some WiiU backups can be played on firmwares 5.3.2 and lower, using Loadiine.
    - IOSU is being developed for firmwares 5.5.1 and lower.
    - Stay on 5.3.2 if you want to use current exploits.
    - Stay on 5.4.0 if you want to use mp4 exploits with loadiine GX2 (not all homebrew ported yet).
    - Stay on 5.5.1 if you want to play retail games online while you wait for Hykem's exploit.
    - Don't update if you want to use current of future exploits."

What is IOSU? (As I understand it its some kind of firmware tweak, realeased on Github because the original dev want to share it since he normaly do 3DS), but thats all I have found about this? Have I missed something? What is this?

"Stay on 5.3.2 if you want to use current exploits." What are concidered to be the "current exploits"?

As I have understand it the loadliine GX2 is whats most interesting as of right now(I might be wrong?), but what are these reffered as "mp4 exploits"? I thought there only was a web exploit at first..

I have the orignal Mario Kart 8 disc. How do I copy that for a backup that can be used in Loadine_CX2?

Theres an entrypoint / exploit for version up to 5.5.1, so 5.5.1 its the last "safe"
    version
    Read My last answer.
Again, ready my olast answer, every firmware its exploitable now.

Dont see the hard part in this one, as it has been ALWAYS LIKE THIS on softmodding.

Really? searching on google IOSU, gives you this as a second result *--->http://wiiubrew.org/wiki/IOSU

    MP4 for 5.4 / 5.5 and JS/HTML/PHP for 5.3.2

Searching on google, this is the first result hwen looking for MP4 WIIU EXPLOIT: ----> http://wololo.net/2016/01/16/wii-u-...hax-exploit-for-5-5-0-wasnt-patched-in-5-5-1/
