    IT WAS A DISASTER!

I think %95 of the people there thinked the film is gross/boring/stupid etc etc

I cant really understand people ;/ even though i love the film i couldnt watch it becouse everybody was speaking to each other or sleeping etc

They dont do this in any other film that not related with LOTR
They are not 1st graders or anything near it!

    Why do people do that?
    Are they stupid?
    Do they have problems?

I dont know why i posted this but i wanted to share this and know why :(

    (sorry if my English sucks)

To be fair, if this is The Hobbit you guys watched, I could totally understand that reaction.

People act like that because they might actually enjoy the movie. A movie, that in there opinion, is not "cool".

It was really good in my opinion, although it was too long in some moments. I expected too much from this one, got too hyped, and got disappointed a bit. But still, would watch again and looking forward to the second part.

So wait, you thought The Hobbit was boring, but you have a Windwaker avatar + signature? Haha, oh the delicious irony. 95% of that game was sailing and more sailing. It was boring*! Did you even read the book? 95% of that was walking and being hungry. There was plenty of hair raising moments in the movie, and though some of the content was not from the book, it was still from the same time period set within a separate book.

*I'm kidding of course. I loved the Windwaker, but if you're going to use a hyperbole to describe a movie that is pretty good according to many people, at least don't have avatar and signature that personifies your complaints somewhat.

EDIT: I see. I mistook the op for something else. I retract my previous statements.

The unexpected journey was so unexpectedly boring.
A slow paced movie with barely or NO real climax.
3D was good, but apart from that a 5/10 "in my opinion".

I disagree. The Climax was the part with Gollum and the riddles in the dark. Either that, or the flight from the goblins and the slaying of their king.

Was that referring to me :)?

I did read it. I was just saying that I can understand why people would behave like that.

No, that was at me. I didn't quite make the connection that he was kind of angry at his classmates and not the movie itself.

I am not sure if you are being sarcastic or for real lol.
Ya it was awesome to see Gollum but THATS the peak climax of the movie? lol

You have to remember that a climax doesn't necessarily mean it has to be actiony. The whole turning point for the entire world was at the finding of the One Ring. In that sense, the fact that Bilbo came to on the ring was important. Not only for the movie as a whole, but also for the entire Lord of the Rings series as well.

Many people thought "The Hobbit" was slow and boring. However, they most likely did not read the book.

Most of Tolkien's works spend a laboriously large amount of time describing every single little detail of a character, scene, bush, etc. A lot of people do find this boring, but that's okay.

To me, this makes the narrative much more immersive and entertaining. "The Hobbit" was a very slow paced movie, but I really enjoyed that because you got to learn a lot of the lore surrounding the universe, and it really showed the depth and complexity of all of the emotions of the characters.
