I have a loophole there, and that is, that (at least in my mind.. ;) ) I specified current bread of chips. But Ryzen falls squarely into that, and apparently is easily OCable to that level (+40% clockrate).

My argument was made from the point of view where everyone really expects 10-20% performance increase from OCing, and that that isn't enough to "rectify" the mindshare the OC market got on the consumer side (open up any enthusiast magazine (= papery blog ;) ), and at least half of the advertising aims at that customer.).

I was looking at a 1080ti but the prices were so skyrocketed. I got the 1070, and all of my loop supplies for 650$. The card I wanted originally was 1100$. What I’d imagine with the Switch is exactly what you said. A dev will open up some bandwidth to push that extra 5 FPS to eliminate some choppiness. Look into Mupen64 for the 360. I guess they opened up one of the Xenos’ 3 cores to get it at least respectable somewhat(it still sucks on compatibility) so Mario64 and the like runs pretty much full speed. I don’t think it would be the difference between PS2 emulation working and not working though. TBH I’m honestly thinking they’ll need to for even PS1 if it’s not docked.
