I've recently used braindump to get the game files.. now is there a way to get the update/patch file for said game?

if you can try to downgrade to 9.2, then yes, you can use FunkyCIA2 with the use of a ticket dumped by using Decrypt9.
If you are on 9.3+ and don't want to downgrade, then no.
