As many of you may know, Hong Kong is the motherland for flash carts, accessories, and modding. I'll be going to HK in 2 days, (actually, tomorrow night) and I'm wondering - does anybody have suggestions of what I should buy? Nearly all companies/resellers have turned down my request for flash carts to review, so I'll probably pick up 2-3 there. Apart from that...I have nearly everything ever sold for the NDS/NDSL at my disposal. What else should I look for? [IMG]

Bizarrely cheap iPod knockoffs. $2 apiece. For resale at $20 apiece. [IMG]

Bring back a load of cheap knock off and sell them at a market.

Get some DS cases, really nice ones and mix and match them.

Go to City Hall's second floor (The first floor is the one above ground floor, so second floor is the third story) dim sum. It's the best! And since you're travelling weekday it shouldn't be too crowded.

Uh, were we talking about flash carts? Screw that dim sum owns. You'll never find such quality tasty dim sums in North America, not even in a Canadian city where majority of peoples first language is Chinese (Richmond, where so many Cantonese people moved to before UK returned HK)

Also there's a gaming arcade in Causeway Bay, forgot the building name but young people around Causeway Bay MTR should know where Namco arcade is located. You'll find Japanese games that are hard to find in the states, like xxxMania (Beat,Keyboard,Drum, etc) Taiko no Tatsujin, and many more.

I so miss HK, I lived there for 3 years attending international high school (Hong Kong International School - second best American international school in Asia, the best being Singapore American School at my time-)

P.S. My friend is going to HK tomorrow too, lucky people I envy them. You guys might be at the dim sum place at the same time lol

Hm.. City Hall is next to Central Ferry Termnial. Just take a cab from the west half (Central~Wanchai) you'll end up at City Hall for less than HK$30. It's called Maxims Palace. They serve by a cart, where workers go around pushing carts and you have to pickup something from the cart. They'll put you a stamp on your card thingy.

There is one more good Dim Sum place called 譽滿坊 I have no idea how to pronounce that =( -Something like yui man fong, don't trust me I don't speak Cantonese- It's address is 63 Sing Woo Rd., Happy Valley, phone number 2834 8893. You can get the pricy gold sprinkled dim sum, that one tastes good -don't think gold tastes like anything though- on its own. You'll order from the menu and waiter will bring it to you. This place is a bit more expensive than City Hall's.

And try lunch, than dinner. Also they have Chrysanthemum PuEr Tea, just say "gook bo cha" if you don't have any other preference try this one out.

Start your own flashcart company. If you rip off R4 I'm sure you could have your card in production by the time you leave. [IMG]

Word of warning, counterfeit goods are kinda hard to find nowadays unless you have good contacts. I went in 2002 and I saw Rolex watches for cheap and tons of counterfeit GBA games. Went again 2 years later and it's really hard to find. Would like to see what China is like but no-one in my family wants to go there even though they lived in Hong Kong all their life.

Vidboy...you are such a Weeaboo it is NOT even funny.

You cannot go one day with blabbing your fingers off, typing, "I live in Hong Kong", "Nope, it's not available in HK yet.", "I'm back from Hong Kong!". "GBAtemps Hong Konger."

It's getting so freaking annoying, you need to understand that no one gives a shit where you live.

I live in Ohio. Do I advertise it like a spammer? No.

EDIT: Just realized that you didn't make this thread. You like bumping old as mold threads? Good for you.

Yeah, unnecessary however I think my BIFF was a little to harsh, but he is on the right track. No one really does care, its where you live, you don't have to boast about it...
