Hardware So I replaced my AR Cards & Laminated them

Pretty cool. I blew up the ? Mark AR card on my 40" Google TV, and it allowed me to fight a huge dragon.

Wow, that's an amazing idea, my 42in panny has memory card support!


Thats going to be the first thing I do tomorrow when I get my 3ds.

I should so try that. I must find a large LCD or a huge piece of paper.

Nintendo wants $4 bucks including shipping for them to replaced but I don't want to pay. I printed them out off the net, got them laminated at Staples for $2 bucks and cut them don to size nice and neatly.

All this work just to save $2?

If you have a hacked Wii, this is an app that can display AR cards on your TV and can even change the perspective of the card. (you can move around the dragon without walking, for example)
There is also a DS and PSP app that displays the cards included as well.

Personally I would do this too. Laminatiing the cards to make sure they dont get damaged is a great idea IMO. I would make two using the Pokemon AR qcode for random Pkmn so I can just show off the app to people/

I d/l'd the AR card pics from Nintendo and made replacements, but I didn't get that elaborate. I just printed 'em out, cut them out roughly, glued them to index cards, then cut them out more carefully after the glue had dried. If they get bent or whatever, I'll make more. It's great that Nintendo made those files available ... I've got a 7 yr old and the originals wouldn't have lasted a week. Where can you download those files?

Why did you post in my topic?

This thread is pointless. You aren't the only person to do this (Nintendo even says to do this if your AR cards are lost or damaged).

This thread is just for attention.

That's a matter of opinion, I created this topic in the correct forum section to share what I did. If anything is pointless it is your post so I ask you kindly to please stay out of my topic if you have nothing to do but complain that the topic is pointless.

Not only did it save me $2 bucks, it saved me shipping time and my cards from being bent easily in the future.
