So, I'm trying to flash my 360!

I got it open and everything, I have it connected to my PC, but here comes the problem: My 360's DVD drive isn't recieving power. I have the power connected through the xbox 360, and the sata cable connected to my PC, i dont hear or feel the DVD drive running, and when I type in that MS-DOS stuff to backup my firmware from it, it says "drive not detected"

So my drive is obviously not recieving power. [IMG] Anyone have a solution? Any help greatly appreciated! [IMG]

Also, my drive is a TS-H943

[EDIT: I thought my drive was not recieving power, but it is, because the drive can eject and close, but other than that, nothing really happens.]

I would possibly clean the drive. If nothing else possible a bad drive or cable.

run a disc cleaner through it.... More than likely its a bad drive. If less you smoke around you 360 and have had it since launch i doubt the lense is dirty.

Well, I connected it to another PC, and it detected it, but that PC is broken now, its getting some CMOS error that I can't really deal with, considering it isn't my PC, so I know the DVD drive is fine. it's something to do with my computers, or my sata things, but Im not sure exactly what it is.

If you're using a PCI SATA card, make sure that the sata cable into the PCI card is the slot closest to the front of the computer.
