Hacking So i need your opinion, 3ds with 9.0 firmware.. what to get?

So i know my two choices are Gateway & Sky3ds

i have early 3ds XL *not a new one* (just got from ebay) with firmware 9.0

So i saw that with the gateway you need internet each time to boot into the menu?

The main thing i care about is playing my personal backups

ive checked the forums, saw most people said Gateway (read the pros and cons but they seem outdated)

Could someone tell me which is easier?
what has a better menu/boot?

will gateway be the way to stay updated on new games?

could someone give their personal opinion on what i should pick?

Yes gateway for sure since you're on 9.0, it has more tweakable stuff like emuNAND and whatnot, sky3DS is probably the easier option though.

The pros and cons have not really changed. Sky has no menu and switching games is a button press with a 5-10'second wait between games so becomes more of a hassle the more games you have. Theoretically Nintendo can block it and then it is game over for new games.

I have a sky but have not used it yet, it is a backup. Get gateway.

People have been saying sky will be blocked for many months now.. Yet it still works perfectly. More reliable than 'soon' at the moment.

Gateway, and I'm as SKY3DS user - I only chose the SKY3DS because GW on N3DS needs additional purchases. Downgrade your 3DS XL to 4.5 and you won't need internet to boot into GW mode. SKY3DS is easier and also has the easier boot. GW has the better menu. And the one about staying updated... uh, where's my crystal ball?
