Hello, so I just got my New 3DS XL back from @mchew who hardmodded my 3ds.

I am just wondering how do I make a NAND backup?

If you have a9lh, just make a backup with hourglass9 or decrypt9. It's easier than dumping it with your pc.

I know. I would just like to learn so that if I brick my system again I could restore it with the hardmod.

This thread has really easy steps. Just skip the hardmodding bit obviously.

A window should pop up on your computer asking you to format. Select cancel or else your 3ds will brick. If it doesn't pop up and you don't have a drive letter assigned, your sd reader is incompatible.
