So I have a theoretical idea for a new loader: THE HD LOADER!!

So this is my idea. We all know Component Cables can output 720p (And even 1080p if allowed). Also, Wii games can be displayed on HD when emulated on PC. The problem is that even though the Wii can use Component Cables, it can only output up to 480p.

So this is my idea. What if someone could make a loader for the Wii that forces it to display games in 720p or 1080p through Component Cables? Natively or even upscaled (This reduces input lag).

So I know a bit of programming, but not enough to make this or to even know if it is possible. What do you think?

I've heard a lot of people smarter than me say the wii will NEVER be able to produce output better than 480p

Move some hardware [mthr], just insert some GX280 Card of whatever... that plays HD.
XD And close it again lol

Another way to do this is to sprinkle pixie dust into the SD port on the front of your Wii. It's easier that way since you don't need to unscrew anything or open it up.

lol, are you fucking serious? you really think that little wii can handle 720p? you obviously don't know anything about hardware or coding....

Software cannot upscale on it's own, you would need some more meaty hardware in the wii for this to happen.

OP hasn't done this yet? Its the first thing I did to my Wii and now it plays all games in 1080p .. a HD loader is completely useless with a GX280 [IMG] And they aren't that expensive!

OP, you should just insert a GX280 Card into your Wii.
