I followed the Sticky for modding a brand new Wii that came on 4.2U. After softmodding it, I have all the games working on a backup loader, but EVERY single game I put in the drive tells my Wii it needs a system update and won't play, to include Wii Sports and Super Mario Galaxy.

I can put the games in and rip them with Configurable USB Loader just fine, and those rips play, but the game will not play straight.

I followed every step of the guide verbatim and tried the games even before I had to install hermes cIOS 222 for the backup loader, so the problem is not from that.

Is this a normal problem people have had, or what? Any idea what I should do to fix it?

    Thanks in advance,
    RisnDevil

Ummmm, on Priiloader I don't see that option, but I don't know much about Priiloader. How exactly do I go about doing this?

There is a "Stop Disc" option which is either on or off (default OFF) and turning it on did nothing to fix that problem.

Thanks for the fast reply though.

go into system menu hacks and enable the block disk updates hack and go to the bottom and save and then you should be good to go

Sorry about this, I am just new to Priiloader, but.....

When I went to that option it simply said:

    "Cannot find Hacks.ini in NAND"

Did I set something up wrong when I installed PriiLoader?
Sorry, and thanks for the patience.

there should be a file called hacks.ini in the modify.zip file you got

put that on the root of your sd card(not in a folder) and try again

If the hacks.ini is not there then go here:

    http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Preloader/hacks

copy the entire hacks list for your version and paste it into a text file. then rename the file hacks.ini and put it on your SD root folder.

Then you can change the setting to"Skip disc update check"
