SnezziDS 0.28 released

This is great, Shadow of the Beast is now playable!!

And while R-Type I & Super R-Type III don't work so well, Darius Twin is now portable... no need to use my SNES for a quick scroller-shoot-em-up anymore, now that I have this for the DS.

And while I'm boasting about the great classics, I need to also mention that *FINALLY* I can play StreetFighter II on the DS.Lite/SC.Lite without any of the slowdowns that the GBA version introduced. Plus, with all the hacked versions of SNES.SFII floating around, the replay value of this game has increased beyond.... well, you know

I've tested the following games:
- Super Metroid (U): crashes after the Nintendo logo
- Super Metroid (E): crashes at the main menu background
- Chrono Trigger (U): works fine, only some sound and text glitches
- Donkey Kong Country (U): Works fine gameplaywise, but there seems to be a problem with the different background and level layers.
- Super Mario World (J): Works just fine, only some tiny glitches now and then.

all those years watching pocketNES and later snesDS and the rest for nothing... nesterJ and snes9xTYL, make the commendable but never near perfect efforts of gba and DS dev look so pale in comparison... if you were like me waiting endlessly for some magic turn of events for DS emulation, do yourself a HUGE favor and grab a PSP, you dont have to worry about firmware or motherboards anymore, as long as its 2.71 or lower your good...

no thanks. I enjoy my DS... because caring around two game machines is dorky.

Plus, i find that there are no interesting psp games released for the psp yet - and buying a psp just to play snes games is well... retarded.

Anyways, great job by bubble2k and good thing that archeide joined helping with snesemulation on ds. So we have 2 active emulators snemulds and snezzids

Looking forward to the day when sound sync is perfect and layers won't have to be swapped around

WoW sweet update, I finaly got Killer Instinct to work and it works just fine (play like a charm to with nice sound support). You just have some background problems but that is easily fixed with the options of the emulator. Great job, keep it up.

i just dont understand this reasoning.. there are just as many good games on the PSP as the DS

- Tales
- LocoRoco
- Lumines
- Katamari
- Syphon Filter

games that are on both systems tend to be much better on the PSP (ie Tenchu and Lego Star Wars and just about every sports game)

there are TONS of crappy games on the DS, every day I come to gbatemp to see what new DS game is released to try out and all I see is crap like Garfield, Alex Stornwhatever, Hannah Montana, wtf...

Im not trying to start a fanboy war here, I LOVE MY DS... just that some of you guys are completely biased.

BACK ON TOPIC

Chrono Trigger works nicely, a good improvement. Text shows up, some minor problems with shadows being in the forground and garbled sound at some points but a nice start none the less.
