Snes9xGX 004 brings some important new changes. First, source code can be now accessed through svn:
    http://code.google.com/p/snes9x-gx/

This version also has 'crisper' graphics many were complaining about. This is due to the disabling of AA filtering, but this feature can be toggled in the menu. Also, users with classic controllers should be pleased with turbo and zoom options mapped to the right analog stick (I still need to figure out a way to map these to other controllers - any ideas?).

USB loading is an option for the wii version, however many devices WILL NOT WORK - this is because libogc/libfat do not support them yet. Also, I believe that the usb devices must be plugged in before loading the emulator. If they are removed/reinserted/changed then they will not work until you exit and restart the emulator. Furthermore, USB devices must be FAT formatted. Basically, don't cry if your usb stick doesn't work [IMG]

This version saves sram and freezes by the ROM filename, not internal ROM name. Fortunately, it will prompt you to 'convert' your old sram saves to the new style once per game. Freezes aren't so lucky. You can rename them manually or just make new ones, sorry.

    Installing:
    - Make sure you have "snes9x/roms" and "snes9x/saves" folders on your sd card.
    - Copy the apps folder to your sd card to run Snes9xGX with the homebrew channel.

    Code:
    - source is now available on google code
    http://code.google.com/p/snes9x-gx/
    - added: option to disable AA filtering
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ (snes graphics 'crisper', AA now default OFF)
    - added: mapped zooming and turbo mode to classic controller
    - added: preliminary usb support (loading)
    - changed: sram and freezes now saved by filename, not internal romname.
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ If you have multiple versions of the same game, you can now have
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ srams and freezes for each version. A prompt to convert to the
ÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂÂ new naming is provided for sram only.
    - changed: by default, autoload/save sram and freeze enabled

Nice update. Looking at the latest commitments to the source, 005 is gonna be amazing (namely, cheat support and Wiimote SuperScope/Mouse emulation [IMG]).

The new DVD library should come out soon, so then everyone can use DVD-access (and not just people with modchips)

Wait? Did you just replace the tehskeen link with wii94s link?

wii94 just downloads the files from their sources and puts passwords on them (really lame). You should atleast have kept the original source of the file.

You need to register on tehskeen, and that's a pain.

Snes9x GX 004 Channel for those interested:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?jmjgtgajdrh

I took Paradox's old Snex9x channel, added the sound.bin from the Lopst 3.1 wad, and packed the .dol from GX 004... Enjoy!

EDIT: Changed banner signature to include author and version info.

Hmm, I can't see a difference at all between having the filtering on or off. I'm using an HDTV 480p. Am I missing something? (I also press save preferences afterwards)

does it actually save when you save in game or do you have to go to the menu to save the sram like every other snes9x emulator on the wii?

If you go into the options and set auto sram save, then it will automatically save your game just like all the other wii emulators on the wii.

Let me also add you only have to do that once. you dont have to select autosave sram for every game or every time you load it up.

but you have to go back to the emu menu for it to save. It's not like you save your game with auto sram save on, turn off the wii and you still have that save, instead it goes to were you were before because you didn't go to the emu menu to save your sram. Does that make sense?
