I was considering buying a SNES controller from ebay, the official club nintendo controller. I was wondering if was possible to use it on NTSCU systems, I've already turned a PAL Wii into a NTSCU, could it be compatible with any IOS? or is it completely software enabled?

I just want to play with a good pad on the Wii and not use the classic controller which plays kinda awkward some times... I hate the L R buttons.

If I need to switch IOS, I'm capable of doing it...

Hey, if very cheap third party china classic controllers are fully compatible, why should be a official nintendo controller doesn't work? [IMG]

IOSes aren't region locked, and controllers shouldn't be either[why bother?].

I have one, and it works just fine. Although really, it depends on what you prefer -- the official club nintendo controller plugs in to the wii remote like the classic controller. If you get a third party adapter instead, they plug into the gamecube port and don't require you waste the batteries in your remote.

I have both options, and both work perfectly well. [IMG]

adapter... 20 dollars..... club nintendo snes controller... 80 dollars...

adapter.. can use 4 diff system controllers.... club nintendo is only SNES

adapter does not use batteries in wii remote...

for me... this is an easy choice... but then again maybe not everyone is poor like me

the brand new Nintendo made Super Famicom controller attracted me, but I guess 4 originals can't be beat.

    I'm definitely getting that.

also, an ebay auction on a club nintendo controller said it was only for korean / japanese wiis.

thanks for the advices, again GBAtemp proves to be the best solution.

Most authentic Super-fami-controllers are quite worn over the years, except if you buy them at a good second hand store in Japan of course. (The chinese made bootleg copies or classic controllers all suck donkey balls, and you all know that.)

This will get you freshly made, unworn controllers for WiiWare and snes9x GX with authentic feel. I've bought two of those from some random guy on ebay to use with my PAL Wii, and they work like a charm.

Also, you can easy get the club-nintendo ones for around $50, as opposed to $80, and if being patient, even for less.

I work in an indie video game store and get my hands often on clean NES/SNES/Genesis/N64 pads...

I'll keep an eye out for them.

I got the 4-1 adapter on ebay and the n64 port is messed up, the joystick will give weird response and then z stops working after this happens.
