[SNEmulDS] Rebirth the project and update it for the last DKP

    Delete the SNEmulDS config file and try again. It should work now.

    Update:

    @Coto completed his custom DS toolchain.
    Setting up the toolkit enviroment is required to compile the latest master!
    You will find the files and the instruction on the githubpage.

    Another Update on the Githubpage.
    I got the Toolchain up and running.
    Cotodevil said he will create an Wizard installer for the toolchain sometime later.

    I am trying to open it with edge flashcart i got white screen.when i open the homebrew with emulator it work well.

    There are several Versions posted on this thread. You should check the last six pages for uploaded Snemulds builds.

    They should work on a ds flashcard. Not every build works with bootstrap on an 3ds though.

    Can you try it with an (outdated) HBMenu version? For some reason NITROFS is broken on EDGE/CycloDS with the current devkit pro version.

    it work but i have a new problem,when i played chrono trigger the dialog box is not showing text.can you suggest me the best setting to make it better?or chrono trigger have some problem in snemulds?

    Dunno if it's only for me but the link for the wiki list doesn't seems to work, it's not my first try to consult this list, I've already try few months ago and the result was the same.

    Anyway, if it could be helpful, here is the list of the working games I've tested on DS Lite + EZ Flash 3in1 with SNEmulDS V0.6a (not revival, I've tried the revival version but it seems to be less compatible),

    You are free to submit any pull requests to SnemulDS

    Here's the status of the emu:

    I added a small irq for upcoming core upgrades

    I on purpose lowered the rom page buffer so most games that are 3MB > are broken now (because the rom paging is partially broken), which is a good thing, because that forces us to fix the rom paging actually

    And there's a bug in megaman 7, that causes the screen to render in slow motion. This does not happen in SnemulDS v0.5 (but it is still broken with games that do work on v0.6x). This bug does not happen in SnemulDS v0.6a from archeide, but happens now.

    IIRC I have the very first SnemulDS 0.6a that resolved the megaman 7 conflict, with an old devkitpro toolchain.

    So there's feedback if you can do something about it!

    I wanted to make this post an hour ago. But then i saw that @Coto updated the master and I had to update as well.:P

    The new build is ready for download. This is the latest master.

    You will find the changelog at the github page.

    I tested a couple games with my M3 simply Flashcard on an softmodded 2ds.

    You must use the cfg file in the zip folder in tandem with the Emulator!

    The Emulator works on my DS Phat Model. So far it does not on my 3ds.

    3 MB Games like Super Metroid are unplayable for now.

    Coto regulary updates the master. There is still much to look forward to.:)

    Really? I tested all the below games in three different cards, three different DSes, and they work.


    I will set up a fourth computer (virtual machine this time) and do the testing.
    Some 3MB games are broken because they fall back to streaming instead fully copied.

    But for games like
    Donkey Kong Country 1
    Donkey Kong Country 2
    Donkey Kong Country 3
    Super Mario World
    Chrono Trigger

    those do work.

    I would ask @Dodain47 that you recompile all the new code on a new computer, since I don't really trust the environment you have by now. Remember you had a lot of issues while setting up the toolchain while I re did at least twice the very same steps, on 2 separate computers, and got everything up and running (from building toolchain to compiling and testing snemulds in three different cards)

    I only support DS mode code. That is:
    NTR mode and dldi from arm9, DS specs. All good ol' Nintendo DS NTR map. and the testing was done in:

    1 Ninjapass X9SD
    1 dsitt (old)
    1 r4igold.cc cart

    And I can guarantee the toolchain and emulator works in these cards. I haven't tested other carts.

    The method for arm7/arm9 code reload (boot nds file) was:
    - specific kernel
    - moonshell2

    And it works just fine.

    I will recompile (again, fourth time, virtual machine) and post back results.

    Also when testing code, use several cards. You can't blame me if your card requires fancy setup, and you have no way to distinguish if the overall debug session was an error on my part or your part.

    "Fair enough" this time is not enough. You need more cards and/or a new environment where you can recompile the toolchain + emulator to be able to give accurate results.
