My device had a display problem. I decided to replace the MN864718A chip. While I was measuring the motherboard, smoke came from where the dvd was connected. When I immediately unplugged and examined it, I noticed that there was a crush on the flex cable. I think it took the chassis from here. Now when I measure again I see 1,1 V at this point. Is it possible that I have broken it? What is this part? How can I get it?

The 3V3 there are good the transistor there is to turn the 3V3 on or off for the disc drive. Were you measured 3V3 is the input. The 1V1 is the output and the one you didn't measure is the gate.
Either the transistor isn't turned on, or you fried it.
But it is just for the disc drive, so you can look after it later. In the worst case you have to replace it or just bridging over it should also work. But as I said, you can worry about that one you fixed the other problem

Yes, you are right, the disk drive is not working. I used to hear the boot up. Now there is no movement. I noticed that if I remove the disk drive I can get 3V3 from the output, so when I put the disk drive in the voltage drops to 1V1. When I observe, there are no parts that can smoke. It's all very smooth.

Then you should leave it disconnected for now and then search the short on the drive first before reconnecting it

thank you very much for your support. i'm still trying to locate the smoke. i know it's not coming from the disc drive because i saw the smoke coming from the motherboard. it seemed to be coming from around the nand. for now, i'm going to examine the disc drive as you said. you don't have any voltage reference points do you? both for the disc drive and for the motherboard. it would be nice if i had a schematic. a repair manual that tells me what values to take at which points.

I think you have lost the 12V track,12V seems to be only used for disc drive motor. If you don't play the disc, perhaps you can ignore it?
Also, what is the current status of your console?

I don't think I'm losing 12V because I get a reading when I measure it. To summarise your current situation. I can't get a picture over HDMI and AV. I have ordered the MN864718A chip and will replace it when it arrives. When I plug in the disc drive, 3V3 drops to 1V1. I think I burned the disc drive :D The smoke came from a point connected to here. But I can't find it. I used to get sound from the disc drive, not anymore. But I think the console is working because it goes into the recovery menu. Although there is no image on the screen, I understand that it is working when I press the number of keys in the recovery menu.
