So smash wiiu without any patches or dlc was 15.6gb so with dlc and patches it was close to 20gb.

Since they aren't cutting stuff and are even adding more stuff and improving models and such i bet it will be the first nintendo game to ever use a 32gb cartridge on its physical release and only the second game yet to use one, the only time yet any game used the 32gb cartridges was dragon quest heroes 1+2 only released on japan.

So this probably means anyone who prefers to go digitl only it will probably not fit on switch internal memory and will require a micro sd card for digital buyers.

but that's not smash wii u
Of course it isnt...what im saying is, it has all the fighters plus more, they dont look compressed they even look better so yeah just the amount of textures and models will surely make this game go over 16gb without much add-ons, unless sakurai just sacrifices trophies and gets alot of space if he can throw away all those models and textures.

also smash ultimate has crap-tons of stages, more than any smash too date so again more models and textures and its all hd textures not like wii 480p textures.

We don't know a thing about the game in technical details.

You're simply making speculations.

Game is not a port it's a brand new game. You shouldn't compare it to Wii U's smash.

And even if you did compare, you should read articles where some ports of Wii U games get to weight a lot less on Switch. Like Captain Toad, or Donkey Kong: TF. http://www.nintendolife.com/news/20..._is_almost_half_the_size_of_the_wii_u_version

But then again, it's not a port. And we don't know a thing about that yet.

well smash was always the biggest game on basicaly anything ever since the gc.

packed to full disc size on gc(1.33gb out of 1.35gb available), wii it fully used the dual layer dvd and i think its the biggest wii game? with 7.9gb out of 8, wiiu if its not the biggest game is probably the 2 or 3rd one really with vanilla being 15.6 gb games i think assassins creed and watchdogs were abit bigger.

but yes sakurai doesn't keep games small, and i doubt he would compress musics and textures just because nintendo doesn't want to use their 32gb cartridges, and to nintendo its always much cheaper to use bigger carts than for 3rd party's.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150

Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
