GCN Smash Melee 'competetive' controller hax for Jap version?

So, recently there's been some buzz in the competetive Melee community with regards to taking out the randomness of controller inputs. Originally it was to be done via arduino, but it's now been implemented into a save file.

Unfortunately, this save file doesn't work with my Japanese disk for Melee.
Does anyone know if there's a way to convert the save file, or how to hack a Japanese save file to give the same functionality?
