Hacking Slot-2 Options

As i still haven't received my R4DS, i was wondering if anyone could tell me if i could put mp3's on my SC SD and then play them through the R4? I don't have moonshell on my SC SD, would this be a problem?

As far as I know, with the R4, you simply boot it up, select boot slot-2 and it will boot straight into your slot-2 device. It will act just the same as if you were using a passme, so you should have no problems doing it that way.

Although if your slot-2 device doesn't have software to play mp3s then you can't. You must store the mp3s in the same device as moonshell if that's what you want to use.

I've never had a passme and I've never actually gotten moonshell to work on my SCSD but i'll try to tonight. Thanks for the quick response, I'll go and try to get moonshell to work. Now...can i just drag my mp3 files onto the SCSD or do i have to convert them?
