Hacking Sky3ds save to Gateway with the gateway menu

Finally got acces to the gateway menu on my N3DS by using a Sky3ds and the Zelda save provided by Sonic. In the menu i saw an export save option. Maybe a dumb question but is it possible to export a Sky3DS save with it?

Lets say im in the gateway menu, pull out my Sky3DS, change the micro SD card with the mSD card with the game, insert the Sky3DS in the N3DS, press export save button and import that save with gateway to the rom on a gateway card. Would this work?

Depends on 500 different factors...mostly the encryption used with the game itself. Some games save will NOT work if you exploit them as GT uses its own save system.

So when pressing the export save button in the gateway menu it doesn't automaticly create a 'gateway compatible' save?
