Hacking Sites to get icons for Skins?

where do you skin creators get your icons? Is there any good sites with great icons?

Thanks a lot! Currently, I am using GIMP & Microsoft Paint to create my skins.

I think most people choose to make their own icons. There's no pride in compiling others work and slapping your name on it.

Umm...another question. How do you make a skin where the top and bottom screens make one big picture?

Do you resize the pic you want into 256*384? Then you divide the pic horizontally in two to make two 256*192?

Howwould you go about dividing the 256*384 exactly in half? I don't know any tool I could use.
