Hacking Simple question about G6 DSReal

I have tried to find this out online but no dice.....

I used to have a G6lite, which I understand you had to charge in the USB adapter from time to time.
(even though I never saw any official indication of this on the G6lite website or in any of the supplied info)
The internal battery on my G6lite eventually would only last a couple of days so I returned it to KickGaming.

I'm wondering if the DSreal needs to be charged in its USB adapter too!?
Can't find any info on the G6 website or in the info that came with it...
so I figured I'd ask those that know!

You need to charge the G6 lite? what will happen if you don't? cuz I've never charged it, and it works just fine

same here I left it for months without plugging it in the usb dock or not even playing the DS and it worked fine every time

With the G6lite I found that the save files would not be created or would be corrupted, until I charged the cart in the USB dock for a few hours.
Then it would work again for a couple of days.
Sometimes whole games would disappear from the G6 menu!!

I guess it was just faulty one?
