ROM Hack Simple CIA Converter / Godmode9 Cant Convert JPN .3ds ROMS?

I've tried a couple different .3ds roms, one has been given a translation patch and one is the raw japanese .3ds rom. I have tried both Simple CIA Converter (newest version) and Godmode9 (also newest version.) Conversion fails on both methods. With Godmode9, verification fails too. Are these programs simply incapable of handling Japan region roms and/or patched roms?

Did you acquire these Japanese .3ds roms from that title site? (do not directly name or state where you got them).

Can you provide a (non-modified) example title that is not correctly converting to .cia format for you? Provide the CRC32 hash of that rom would help in ensuring we're examining the same copy.
