For starters, format the SD card to FAT32. You cannot do this with Windows natively which is you don't see the option but you can format the SD card to FAT32. Just download any SD card formatting software. Also don't use fusee_primary. Its not really recommended to use unless you're using a certain homebrew program otherwise Hekate is the better method for booting Atmosphere. Lastly, it would help if you actually uninstalled the game before installing it again.

He can format to FAT32 within Hekate itself.
It has an option in its menu to do so, and it can even backup the files you have, as long as it's 1GB for all the files available.

Am I missing something?

Running emunand.
I have latest Atmos plus sig patches from ITotalJustice.
Loaded up primary through Hekate payloads window.
Installed Tinfoil through HB menu.
When I go to open Tinfoil, I still get the red screen error.

What do I need to change to get Tinfoil to work??

Edit: I just realized that I posted this to the wrong thread sorry. (but if anyone has any ideas I would gladly accept them)

New game Stubbs the Zombie is not working with latest FW and Atmos. Anyone has a fix?

Are you getting "The software was closed because an error occurred."? That's what I'm getting with Stubbs, it wasn't working on my switch when I had Atmos 15 and FW 10.0.2, it still doesn't work on latest Atmos and FW as I updated my switch hoping that would fix the Stubbs game, didn't change a thing.

Can someone lead me in the right direction I'm looking into updating my switch it's on 10.0.2 so will the sig patches on this thread work on 11.0.0? Also where can I get the latest and greatest atmosphere

I haven't updated my switch in over 6 months!

Hello, I'm facing the same issue with smash bros and mh rise.
Updated to FW 11.0.1 and atmosphere 18.1. Got the sigpatches from ITotalJustice and moved them to the SD. Other games (like Hades, Mario Kart) are running without issues, but for the mentioned two games I get:
"The software was closed because an error occurred"

Hello, I am really confused as there is SOOO much information. I hope someone can help me!

I just installed homebrew on my Switch through "nh-server.github.io" guide; it seems that it uses Hekate to boot Atmosphere but from what I understand this way doesn't support Tinfoil (its game installer correct?) or sigpatches (needed to be able to play those games right?) I'm really confused about ALL of this.. apparently you need to use fusse but I followed a guide for Hekate and I cannot seem to find a guide to explain how to boot fusse as secondary through Hekata.

Basically I followed all instructions for "nh-server.github.io" and this is where I am now. What do I need to do to be able to use Tinfoil or any other application to install and play games? I really hope someone can help, I spend over 5 hours installing it (was worried about bricking the Switch) and now I don't know what to do!? I am afraid to experiment and move and deleted files on the SD card unless I know for sure what I am doing as I dont want to brick my system.

Please help, thank you!!!!!

There are much better installer like goldleaf or dbi. Use these.

Thanks! I actually just got it working; was so worried about screwing something up and bricking my switch. I'm surprised there isn't an updated guide on YouTube or something, tons of guides how to install homebrew but none updated about sigpatches or goldleaf etc. Goldleaf is fantastic btw thanks for the recommendation, was able to easily connect the switch to my PC and install through USB. So far no issue but I only tried the one game.

I do have another question though. I am currently on 10.0.2 (I read its most stable); is it worth upgrading to 11.0.1? I'm a little confused about the whole fuse burning AutoRCM thing. If you upgrade then you won't be able to downgrade later? Hows that work exactly, I dont think I even have AutoRCM enabled (unless its enabled by default).

Dunno where you read that, but that's bullshit.

You don't burn fuses with autorcm. Don't care about the fuses. Irrelevant for cfw-users.

You don't need to downgrade.

Gotcha, so I should just upgrade to 11.0.1 right?

Quick question about updating the firmware. Since I use Hekate payload, I have emuMMC & sysMMC on my SD. It's my understanding that they both have separate system firmwares. So I can boot into emuMMC and just use Daybreak to update to 11.0.1 correct? Do I also need to update sysMMC to 11.0.1 as well or can I keep it as is? Lastly after the update do I need to make another NAND backup since the original backup was from 10.2.0

The emuMMC is on your sd card. Not the sysMMC. This is the internal storage from the console.
Oh duh, that actually makes perfect sense (sd card is cut in two, storage/emuMMC), I must be tired.
I was confused because there are 3 boot options: Stock, emuMMC and sysMMC. I guess emuMMC is created from sysMMC!? and those who don't use emuMMC basically have extra space on their sd (but risk getting ban etc.)?
Lastly, so can I upgrade the firmware on the emuMMC and leave the sys as is or do I have to do both? Thx!

You can update emuMMC without updating SysMMC if you want to. They are completely independent of each other.
If you decide to do so then you need to download 11.0.1 firmware from Darth website and use Daybreak to update emuMMC.
If you want to update both then start by updating sysMMC the official way. After that you can either download the firmware from Darth or dump it from your SysMMC using the TegraExplorer payload. Either way when you have the firmware use Daybreak to update emuMMC.

I tried the patches on 11.0.1 /A18.1 and got the same problem of not opening the game or home brew menu but I had saved the old files and deleted the files that came with this sigpatches and I am able to open the game. your SD is fine, problem is with the files.
