You must use Slot B. You must use the drivers on http://www.staffs2.webspace.virginmedia.com/shuriken_usb.htm. Check devmgmt.msc (run it) to see if there's a COM port that appears when you plug it into the computer. You should try reading USB Loader GX's output (or run an exploit such as Smash Stack) via PuTTy - it looks weird, but you can tick 'append CR to every LF' and it looks fine. I use that for Priiloader's OSReport to gecko log
BTW you need the gecko in Slot B before loading Gecko OS - if it's connected to your pc, and the com connection is open (PuTTy is reading for example) the gecko logo will light up, it sometimes does without PuTTy open but sometimes its off.
