You must use Slot B. You must use the drivers on http://www.staffs2.webspace.virginmedia.com/shuriken_usb.htm. Check devmgmt.msc (run it) to see if there's a COM port that appears when you plug it into the computer. You should try reading USB Loader GX's output (or run an exploit such as Smash Stack) via PuTTy - it looks weird, but you can tick 'append CR to every LF' and it looks fine. I use that for Priiloader's OSReport to gecko log
BTW you need the gecko in Slot B before loading Gecko OS - if it's connected to your pc, and the com connection is open (PuTTy is reading for example) the gecko logo will light up, it sometimes does without PuTTy open but sometimes its off.

Unplug and replug. Again, ensure devmgmt.msc says a COM port exists.

ive tried plenty of times. i would hate for this to be defective because happy_bunny seems nice and not a scammer

He's not - I have friends who have v2's that work, and I have one aswell. Heck, a friend has a v1 (old) shuriken usb that still works - his friend got the v2 and gave him the v1 for free.

You go to your post office, ask for a padded, envelope, put it all in, add the address + United Kingdom on the bottom - also mark it fragile and do not bend if you have to. Then, ask how much postage is, and pay postage.

Still not working. At the moment I just downloaded and installed ft prog.

oh good looks like the pc side is setup fine, can you plug the gecko into the pc again and this time also plug the gecko into the wii slotb and then powerup the wii. Go to the homwbrew channel and start it, is the gecko lit like this ?

if it is can you use these setting for gecko os 1.9.3.1

do you have mario kart ? (thats the game I used to test your device before a shipped it to you) can you go back to the gecko os main menu and select launch game. Now start gecko dnet does it connect ?

Does the game boot automatically when you open Gecko dNET or WiiRdGUI?

Gecko dnet will automatically start the game from gecko os main menu IF it connects correctly, wiird will not.

Is it the case for the Gecko Clone? For me it works well with WiiRd and the original USB Gecko

I just put my settings exactly the same as you have them. Gecko.NET still fails to connect.

Tried WiiRD, still failing to connect. I don't know what it could be... my Wii knows a gecko is plugged in, and so does my PC. @PokeAcer do you know what the issue could be
