I want to do regular gym and weight training. I would have one gym class everyday since we are on block schedule (A days are Weight Training, B days are regular gym). Weight Training would be right before my Algebra II class and Regular Gym would be at the very end of my B days. Are two gym classes okay? If I do this, then I won't be able to take two art classes that I have currently (Art in Contemporary Society and Photography). Here's the description of Art in Contemporary Society for those of you who dont know what it is

Art in Contemporary Society is an art survey course which presents the influences of the Arts in a historical perspective. This course will examine the role that dance, drama, music, and the visual arts play in society. Through discussion, critique, and interpretation of the arts, students will explore the relationship between contemporary and historical events. One group and individual project may be required.

I don't know, I heard some people you can talk to people in class most of the time and not do much. So, what decision should I make? Take those two gym classes or stick with my two art classes I have now?

I'd take the art classes. the two gym classes seem a bit pointless to me.

Take that art class and learn something. It's cool to take one PE but two is too far.

do you need those credits? If you don't need either I say kick it back, and just take as little as you need and chill back senior year. [IMG] haha.
it's what I did, but I've always been ahead in credits, so i didn't really need to bust my ass senior year.

"Art in Contemporary Society" sounds pretty boring and useless. Gym improves your health, body, confidence and more. In a way you could say, Gym is an Art [IMG]

In other words, I'd pick Gym for sure [IMG]

Well, I don't have a free period for this semester. So I was wondering if two gym classes is better than two art classes.

It all depends on what you want mate. Do you want to be physically fit or do you want to know about art? Personally I'd go for the double gym as it's more what am into. Being fit and healthy has alot of advantages!

I would suggest you talk to people who took that art class and ask them what it's about. From the "description" you've got, I have no idea what they do in that class, so I couldn't say whether you'd profit from it or trudge through it and forget everything you heard the moment you get a passing grade. So ask somebody who's had that class, maybe even the teacher who holds the class, and ask for more details.

He's already doing that. One of each. The question is whether a third class he's taking should be a second art class or a second gym class.

Personally I'd take the art class, it could be more useful to you in the future. You can still keep in shape during your own time.

Algebra II in senior year? Lucky bastard.

Just do the two gym classes. But, I had mine always early in the morning which sucked since I smelt like shit the rest of the day.
