Alright... My brother made a deal with me. This time it's for real.

His Sandisk 2GB (He bought it from Radioshack), for my Kingston 1GB.

He recently got a Kingston 2GB so he doesn't want his Sandisk 2GB, he only wants my 1GB for gaming. The 2GB is for his homebrew/media.

Should I do a trade? I'm really trying to stuff everything on my 1GB. I have about 100 MB left. [IMG]

EDIT: I'm also worried about the compatibility issues. I know my Kingston has 100% compatibility.. But the Sandisk is slower... So it might not play Castlevania. :'( Unless it actually does play Castlevania and I was just misinformed. [IMG]

Stupid question, take the extra 1GB.

My gawd, you're fretting over the performance of ONE GAME out of what, nearly 1,500?

Hell, I'll go buy a new Kingston 1GB and trade your brother for the 2GB SanDisk if you don't do it!

    :wtf: I beat it already...

Does it have problems with any other games? I'm especially worried about the new Castlevania if PoR has problems on it.

this is one of those rare occasions where I completely agree with urza.

If the new castlevania is that much of a problem and will only work on a kingston (or toshiba), you can get a 512 kingston (or toshiba) really cheap! don't worry about it.

besides, have you ever thought of giving a LITTLE money back to nintendo, and encouraging them to make more castlevania games? you could always buy it. It's only one game. chances are it'll be 35 USD just like almost all the other ds games.

    edit: GOOD ds games.

I'd do it. Or get a 2GB Kingston (possibly japan) for $12 shipped AR from buy.com. Just use a new Google checkout account. You might be able to get it for $2 if you use the rebate from their free magazine offer (you get a $10 rebate if you decline)

    2GB microSD $12(temporarily OOS) Here
2GB MicroSD $14 (in stock) Here

    Rebate: Here

he already did the trade. see the edit at the end of his last post.

anyway, I capitalized "little" because you were debating whether to do the trade because of one game, and I'm assuming there are many more games than that one that you'll have on your micro sd. in comparison to how much all those would have cost if you bought them retail, 35 dollars is nothing.

O_O $12 bucks... Wow, that is one hell of a deal...

I'm not taking that rebate though, I don't trust rebates.

You're missing out man... I've got six microSD's not one of which cost me more than $21. Yes, rebates work. I've save thousands over the past ten years. You foolow their rules, they give you money back. Pretty simple.

    Discipline young grasshopper, discipline...

Yeah, but don't forget that you can only use that $10 Google checkout discount one time. For anything...

I know someone that went crazy thinking he got an additional $10 every time. He was not happy later.

Actually, you can just use another email address with the same credit card and use it as many times as you want. I have used it about 6 times in the last year...

Bah. I know this is off topic, but in the UK our games are £35... And the current exchange rate is pretty much £2 = $1. And I agree with Zeppo, just buy the game if you're having problems with it. It's a great game and you obviously enjoyed it...

Because doing that does not make a Sandisk "work as well as a kingston". Formatting to 64k definitely makes the Sandisk perform faster, but PoR still has freezes. After formatting to 64k on my Sandisk, PoR froze probably once every two or three times I entered a portrait(instead of every single time I entered one before I formatted the microsd). So no, that is not as good as a Japanese Kingston.

And trust me, this isn't a trick that only you know, so stop your whining.

EDIT: And what is this new Castlevania that people are mentioning? The only new I find is the one coming out for the PSP in a couple weeks. I don't see anything about a new DS Castlevania.
