Homebrew Should I buy a 3ds with freeshop already installed.

Hello so I’m on eBay I seen that a seller have the original 3ds with freeshop already installed Luma custom firmware. It come with legend of Zelda links awaking, super Mario bro 3, and super Mario 3D land. It’s running 11.0. Should I buy it or not it’s 99.99 if so could I download any games like Pokémon etc right off the bat meaning when I get. I was just looking for a 3ds or xl bundle with a Pokémon game until I saw this. I never heard of freeshop. I look up freeshop that what’s brought me hear.

The old 3ds is kind of crap when it comes to things like streaming and minecraft for the 3ds aswell as certaint ntr plugins for usum.If the old model 3ds doesnt bother you get it or findsomething cheaper.At this point you can get any 3ds/2ds model,buy a r4i gold plus and hack any firmware.If you want to learn more about 3ds hacking go to 3ds.guide

its best to install cfw yourself so you know how it works . . . cfw can be free to install (depending on the 3ds's firmware) if you buy a 3ds/2ds family system on 11.3 or lower all you will need is the system and an sd card if you buy one on 11.4 or above you will need a ntrboot ds flashcard ($10-20 usd ... you can find out which cards are compatible in the link below) to install cfw . . . and yes freeshop will allow you to pirate directly from nintendo's servers so any game you can find on the eshop can be yours . . . including pokemon (cfw will also allow you to install games not on the eshop [in .cia format] . . . but you will have to find them on your own)

also the the history of the console is unknown the seller may have made mistakes he did not know about and if it is on 11.0 then it likely needs an update (not only to the system but for the cfw as well)

so in my opinion you should see if you can find a cheaper one even if unhacked

It the aqua blue 3ds I just want it for Pokémon games like x,y omega ruby, sapphire sun,moon ultra sun and moon. Do you think there are any rom hack Pokémon games for the ds

it will work for that purpose and yes it will play romhacks but only for 3ds games (and vc injects . . . snes/gens/gba/gg/gb/gbc/nes) but not nds (i know all the games you listed are 3ds games but i still feel the need to clarify) you will need a ds flashcard for .nds roms (and .nds romhacks)

I just bought the new 3ds xl with freeshop cfw 16 pre installed games with a 32gb sd on eBay 150 was that a better deal.

That's a pretty good deal. As long as it all works and none of the use marks bother you.
Personally, I hate buying used.

You will be happy you bought a N3DS. The old 3ds has weaker hardware and the 3d is not as stable.
Make sure you get an official Nintendo 3DS charger. Those cheap generic 3DS chargers cause issues.

Thanks yea it’s red n3ds I can see scratches on top and the bottom of the system the screen is perfect. I’m happy to that I decided to take a longer look to see if I could find a 3ds xl or the n3ds xl. But maybe down the line I might buy those n3ds replacement cover front n back so the 3ds can look newer.
