Hi Guys, I wanted to ask that should I buy a 3DS or is it worth waiting for the 3DS XL to release, I'm confused!

    depends
3DS XL add nothing more than bigger screens and a small amount more battery
go to a shop and play with a 3ds or find a friend

if the screen seems like you need bigger opt of the XL

obviously the smaller will also be cheaper
    so its budget dependent too

If you'd prefer a bigger screen then go for the 3DS XL, but like Pong said, try it out at your local game store. Or ask if you can have a go of them both (when the XL is out) and make your mind up then.

Remember, you have to purchase the charger/dock separately with the 3DS XL, and possibly the AR cards too, so it will cost quite a bit more.
You could also get a preowned 3DS of you wanted to save money.

My understanding is that's only for Japan. Plus, the dock itself isn't a necessity by any means. I purchased my 3DS used without the dock, and haven't missed it once.

You waited this long for a 3DS, might as well wait a few more weeks for the XL.

I meant you can either purchase the charger by itself or the charger with a dock. I actually prefer to have a dock, it's not needed, but it's nice to have a certain place for it.

It is not just japan its everywhere but North America so also in europe, and in all likelihood also in India.

3th party chargers are not that expensive and if you owned a dsi before or a 3th party charger supporting both ds light and dsi you don't have to buy them as for ar cards you can just print those. if not you can easily order one on ebay, if need be a usb one if a indian plug is not really a viable option (or a eu one using a converter plug).

    Basically:

A smaller 3DS with higher pixel density, not so comfy 3D, compact, slightly less battery, lower price.

    Or

A large 3DS which provides much better viewing angle, lower pixel density, slightly better battery life, larger in size and at $40 more.

    Your choice.

I'll go with the small 3DS with a Nyko battery extender + CPP. Cheaper plus a lot more battery juice. The only downside is the screen, but at least you get a second analog.

Unless you have unusually tiny hands, the XL is a better choice (even if you disregard all the other neat extras it has).

If I had some extra money, and I was able to test an XL PERSONALLY to make sure it'd fit in my pocket, I seriously would consider it... It's irritating how cramped up my hands get, especially when the sharp bottom corners occasionally "jab" into my palms, and constant pressure of the shoulder buttons (especially games like Kid Icarus: Uprising and Zelda 3D) makes my fingers ache since they're so awkwardly positioned when it comes to large hands.

I've decided I'm deffo getting a 3DS XL, just bought a DSi XL recently and it makes everything so much clearer and just generally more absorbing when you play.
There's no doubt I'll be selling my special DSi XL and getting a 3DS XL instead..even though they look ugly to me. I just wish they did pure colour.
