I don't shop unless I have to, hell, I've been wearing the same sweatshirt for two years.

P.S.
Are you secretly a Walmart executive?

Haha, no. It's just a project I'm working on. I've been in this forum for about a year or so... Not much executives have that kind of patience... or do they

But it's a good idea to save your money "the proper way" than wasting it.

When I know exactly what I want, I shop alone. But when I'm not sure what I want, but do know what I like, I bring some friends along with to help me decide. This applies to anything, from clothing to electronics.

I'll go with friends just for a socialising fun day out, but if I actually want to buy stuff I go alone. When you're with friends they're slow, and spend *ages* in every single shop (especially ones you're not interested in; DVD stores are the worst) so chances are you won't get around the whole high street / shopping centre in the time you have. It's annoying to not have a second opinion when choosing clothes, but that's far less irritating than getting stuck waiting for a friend who takes half an hour to try on two t-shirts (literally).

I don't do "shopping". I go to the store, get what I went there for and get the hell out.

Shoe shopping, the internet does not seem right for this so real world it is: head into town and directly to shop (luckily there is a good shop opposite an entrance), spend all of 7 seconds (from door to counter) choosing a pair, try them on and if they fit (and they do fit) they get bought and I leave town. Total time, my personal record is 3 minutes but average is about 5.
Clothes, in the (bi)annual event it normally takes half an hour, most of which is spend trying to balance several t shirts and pairs of jeans while hoping the till assistant is not dead from the neck up.

Food shopping, fruit, cereal, bread and milk involve about 4 minutes until I am standing at a checkout.

House/flat shopping, see above.

Put it this way if something does not require some research beforehand (electrical or leisure goods mainly) then I try to minimise the time spent much to the chagrin of credit card companies and whoever I am with at the time. The exception being the time I decided to introduce my little brother to Christmas shopping: the male way.

Oh and for the record nobody expects real info in class projects, mine is true but still.

I am eighteen years old. I just graduated High School this past week. I have never gone "shopping" once in my life. I want something, I leave the house to get it, only that, then I go home.

Voted "mix of both".
I usually go shopping/browsing with friends whether it's clothes, books, comics, games, etc. They're the ones who usually follow and wait for me in shops and I'm the one who takes the longest to look
rofl2.gif
They also usually call me up if they're shopping, maybe for advice or just so I can rant and shit about the stuff/shop.
I also like shopping alone when I'm waiting for people or on my way home. I tend to get carried away when alone though, I usually spend so much or take soooo long just browsing/looking around (Just this week on my way home, I looked around a bookstore for almost 4 hours

I like shopping hehe

even little shit that I forget about in an hour or two when I get home.
(That's why among my friends my room is 'legendary' for having so many random things.)

most of my shopping is done online, even groceries

same, but i buy my groceries from the store as i tried online grocery shopping and they got 99% of the items wrong, well you can guess, i never used them again, hardly reliable when you need essentials like sanitary towels and toilet roll, instead they bring 5 dozens of hagen das ice cream and expect me to pay for it. lol
