He means it has a 3DS game that looks like a DS game
QUOTE said:Still, this makes me wonder when "Persona 3D" will be released, but this is good in the mean time.
Well I would like Persona 4. It was the 1st and only Persona game I've ever played (so I'm being a little biased), it had great music and a bunch of cultural references. That, and I sold it before I beat it...I still regret that...Windaga said:No no no - (Shin) Megami Tensei is the series in which all of the titles fall - including the Persona series, the Devil Summoner series, the Digital Devil Saga series, etc. When they announced the titles for the 3DS, Atlus released the following:
Shin Megami Tensei
Shin Megami Tensei: Persona
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor
We know that Devil Survivor is the one we're talking about here - Overclocked. What we don't know (and what I was asking) is what Persona title is coming to the 3DS - if it's a remake of one, or if it's a brand new entry.
It's also worth noting that Atlus also posted "Etrian Odyssey" - I wonder when we'll hear more about that.
Well actually, I did play Persona. I'm more of what you would calll a "passive S/MT fanboy", I learn about the games (from the original Megami Tensei onwards), but am a little passive when it comes to actually buying themWindaga said:@Wintrale:I can't wait to see either. I wonder if it'll be SMT5? I suppose it could be anything in the SMT Series, as it just says "Shin Megami Tensei", but they did label Devil Survivor, so who knows.
I don't think 5 would be impossible - especially not if they did it in P3P style - with all of the navigation outside of the designated "battle area" (Tartarus/Inside of the TV) done by menu. But I agree - a Persona 4 port seems more likely. And I'm perfectly OK with that.
@machomuu:
The Persona series is a bit different. The first 2 games in the series (3, if you're splitting up Eternal Punishment and Innocent Sin) play a lot like your typical dungeon crawler/SMT title. The last 2 (3 and 4) are completely different experiences due to the whole social aspect and emphasis on relationship building. Not saying that they all aren't fantastic games, because they are, but don't get hung up about only playing one title. And definitely look into any of the titles before actually buying them - people who loved Persona 3 and 4 and went for the remake of the first Persona on the PSP were pretty disappointed with what they found, if only because they were expecting games like 3 and 4.
But yes, you must finish it.
I thought many persona fans didn't want Persona 4 portable.Wintrale said:Yeah, the 3DS is still getting a Shin Megami Tensei game and a Persona game. Persona 5 is out of the question, but a Persona 4 Portable on the 3DS would be awesome.
As for this game, though, I still want it. Of course I still want it - it's an SRPG and it's an Atlus game. Best. Combination. Ever. I wonder if there are new endings, considering there's a whole new day...
But that's a PS2 game. Not everyone has access to a PS2 or a backwards compatible PS3. It's different bringing a game to the 3DS when the 3DS is backwards compatible with NDS games.Chanser said:Rock Raiyu said:I don't like how Atlus just ported a game that came out barely 2 years ago and re-release it with some new content.
They done it before with Persona 3.
