It's good that you're showing off the Beta version - it shows your supporters that the project is indeed underway. Looks like a fun platformer concept, but naturally it needs some work.

I like the reflection effect, but the game needs some work. Other than the item disappearing, there's no immediate visual output that'd signify that the player picked it up - think of some particle effects or other eyecandy that'd give the player a "sense of accomplishment" - it seems minor, but it really matters.

The on-screen fonts are a little basic as well - they need a bit of extra flair. Notice how everything on-screen is reflective and the fonts stand out, as if they were copy-pasted from Word. Think of a way to give them a nice, bold and shiny look to match the curved and reflective surroundings.

The game also needs some on-screen enemies, but I'm assuming they're not there just because it's an early build.

Good luck with your project! :D

Something you left out of the Kickstarter page.
What exactly do you need the money for? There's no indication as to why you even need a Kickstarter.

Maybe he just wants donation because the time spent on making this game could just as well be spent on working and earning money? ;)

game looks really simple and $10 is too much there are lots more games similar to this that are way better and cheaper on play store. :glare:

Then I foresee a failed Kickstarter.

For $10 you get the full version of the game and you're mentioned as a Donator in the credits, read the full Kickstarter manifesto.

While the reflections and textures certainly look nice, there's zero gameplay you're showing off there. You're just running right and jumping.
I know it's an early build, but unless you have something interesting to show off to the community, other than graphical quirks, you'll quickly be forgotten with no funding. That is if you really need the funding, because, as Hells Malice said, you haven't stated any reason for needing Kickstarter.

So I'm looking forward to a new trailer, so we can see what enemies and gimmics you'll add to your game.
Don't expect many backers otherwise. :)
Also, I would've had another take at that outro if I were you. It did not make a very good image for yourself.

still not worth it the game looks like it was made in a day using a free game builder program :P

Show me a free game builder program that produces this kind of results and I will show you a liar. :P I've looked into Android programming myself and trust me, the best libraries that you can find which facilitate coding and support OpenGL effects (libgdx and the likes) mostly support 2D environments - this is likely coded entirely in OpenGL ES2.

    ...No.

I'm going to be blunt; there's absolutely nothing here worth investing in yet. Beyond looking really garish and ugly (I understand that this is still early in development, but you have to give people something more to go off of), this looks really uninspired. It looks like just about any other platformer, which is a problem when every indie studio and their dogs are cranking out platformers. When you're competing with everything from Mario to Rayman to Super Meat Boy, you can't afford mediocrity.

Not only that, there's the Kickstarter goal. $22,000 is a whole lot of money, especially for an indie platformer from a (no offence) completely unknown studio. There are projects that look a million times more professional that don't even reach half of that. How do you plan to promote this? Are you lining up interviews with game publications?

I'm not saying this just because I'm a big meanie. (I mean, I am a big meanie, but that's beside the point.) It just seems to me that you haven't put quite enough thought into this Kickstarter. I'd recommend going back to the drawing board, figuring out a way to sell this game to people, and then coming back with a much, much more reasonable asking price.

    Just saw the discussion here,

I didn't think anyone would respond. But now I see all your feedback. And I totally agree with you. 22k was way too optimistic. The trailer also convincing enough. But I'm still working on it and hopefully you'll like the new levels. BTW those boring fonts are nearly gone.

I've made a lot of mistakes, however marketing isn't easy

When I fail the kickstarter, and that will happen, I'm going to make first world for free.

Anyway, I did this to get money for university. And lastly I'm 18 and did most of it alone (I also made the shaders myself)

    Thanks for your feedback :)
If you have any suggestions, tell me

All things considered, having your age, lack of experience and the fact that it's a one-man job in mind, this looks pretty damn well. I hope you'll get your university funds and continue to develop in IT, good luck! :)

The difference between "experienced" and "non-experienced" lays within "releasing a commercially-available" or at least "widely-distributed" product and "programming for the giggles" or "for a very small audience of homebrew fans", at least that's how I like to define it. ;)
