Our school is over 500 years old and the roof has a tendency to run amok when it get a bit gusty. Last year we had a Year 7 go to A&E because a roof tile hit them on the head and over £50,000 damage was caused to teacher's cars.

    This should be fun.

But at least I'll get a day off school because I live on the other side of the Pennines from my school and we get to go home if there's a chance of us being trapped on the wrong side (only two roads across within sensible driving distance)

Sounds mad. They're probably exaggerating anyway (they always do), but I'm not looking forward to going out there tomorrow if it's like that :S

If this storm is about as severe as that earthquake there is not much to fear.

I take it back. It was an obvious national disaster if someone actually got hurt.
