I'm really hoping this is an easy fix, but I am so lost at this point. I am going to be as detailed as possible, so bear with me.
NUSspli
Okay so. Every guide I am reading online says to "download the latest release" from Github, leading me to their page.
I am assuming I'm supposed to download just the "NUSspli-1.96-Aroma.zip", which after extracting, contains a single file: NUSspli.wuhb
The guides all say to just drop that into "/intstall/" on the SD card and run WUP Installer GX 2 and use it to instll NUSspli.
So I do that and it doesn't even show up. Although I had also downloaded the "NUSspli-1.96-Channel.zip" previously, and it had a bunch of "APP" and "H3" files, as well as 3 "title" files under different formats: CERT, TIK, and TMD (the NUSspli.wuhb file is notably missing). When I had that in the NUSspli folder in /install/, NUSspli shows up in WUP Installer. But I tried installing it and got the following error message, equipped with a big red "x" in a circle at the top of the message: "Install failed; NUSspli; Verify WUP files are correct and complete. DLC/E-Shop require Sig Patch"
The second I added the actual NUSspli.wuhb to that folder like the guides all said, it disappeared from WUB Installer GX2 completely. I then tried deleting everything from the "NUSspli-1.96-Channel.zip" folder, leaving just the wuhd file, and it still won't show up.
So I try doing more digging, and I find things saying I can put NUSspli.wuhd into the /apps/ folder and it'll just be on the screen without the need for the WUP installer. So I do that. And of course, it's not there at all. So I can't install it using the WUP Installer without that error message or it just not coming up at all as an option, and putting it in the /apps/ folder also failed.
I don't know what else to do and I feel like I've looked at every guide possible to no avail.
Nintendont
So first with Nintendont, my first course of action was to put it onto the vWii HB Channel. But after installing the HB Channel there, it just says it can't initialize (I'm assuming it's an Internet problem, but the Wii-U is connected just fine).
So attempt number two of digging around, and I found a guide on Wiki Hacks on how to install Nintendont directly to my Wii-U home screen.
Which basically just says I can download the Nintendont&Forwarder.zip from a guy on Dropbox.
Then it says to just extract it and copy the contents of the zip to the root of the SD card. So I do that. Everything copies...presumably correctly. Go to install it on WUB Installer GX2, and I get the same error message I was getting with NUSspli: "Install failed; Nintendont; Verify WUP files are correct and complete. DLC/E-Shop require Sig Patch"
Conclusion
I need help. I have been at this for hours, redownloading files and trying to get this to work. I don't know what the error message means in WUB Installer, and I can't get either of these apps on my console. If anybody has any advice, please share it. I am really hoping it's some stupid, simple fix. Thank you.
