Hacking Selling 3DS with arm9loaderhax. What price is fair?

Wow man you over shot, I spent $250 on a n3dsxl and a 64gb card and that was a limited edition Zelda one and the shop included pokemon alpha sapphire retail version with it

Can you even sell this on eBay? I always assumed eBay always pretty strict about this kind of thing. Like reported and b&. Don't think Nintendo doesn't have employees scour eBay searching for this kind of stuff, it's something I can totally see them doing. It'd be different if you deleted the pirated content since a9lh isn't illegal afaik.

I wouldn't pay extra for this personally.

Honestly, I wouldn't pay any extra for a a9lh system than a non-a9lh system. It's not like you have to take 'em apart and solder or anything. It's a "free" mod that anyone can do with a little patience. So, the general price for a used 3ds system, a few bucks for the 128GB SD card and a little extra for any RETAIL games you have (Retail as store bought, not retail games that were installed with a CIA installer. That annoys me when people try to sell systems with "non-legit" games and mark the price up. I see people all the time trying to sell original Xbox systems for $150 just b/c it has EvolutionX or something or see people selling an Xbox 360 Fat with flashed DVD-ROM with 50 burned games and trying to sell the system as if it had 50 games that were worth something. Pirated games aren't worth anything. You can't sell 'em (legally), you can't trade 'em into GameStop or other game stores....

Piracy doesn't add value to the product. It's quite the opposite actually, since you can get reported for selling illegal content.

It's true, but only if the games are legit, particularly with cartridges.
Anyone can install CIAs nowadays, and it's even easier if A9LH is already set up. So there's really no point installing games and making it increase the price of the device.

You will be surprised that there are people out there who are lazy, computer illiterate, or both. From my experience, I had people pay me just to hack their 3ds because they were paranoid of bricking their 3ds even though they could have easily pulled up a gbatemp.net or youtube guide.

I actually couldn't take any pay for A9HL. Maybe if I helped set it up for someone but that would be dirty cheap since all tools and guide etc. are available and it would be max my time. Still would feel wrong to charge for it.

Damn, 300$ is not much for a sealed collector.
(I'm happy to have my New Love Plus Rinko Deluxe 3DS, the price for items with kawaii girls on them never go down )

You don't need OTP.bin to update a9lh using safea9lhinstaller.
