Hey!

Does anyone know if it's possible to play the original arcade versions of Sega games like Alien Syndrome and Cotton on the Wii at full speed? I've tried the fb_alpha core included with SuperrSonic's build of RetroArch to run those games, but the performance leaves something to be desired.

I think your best option would be Mame 2003.... Positive I had alien syndrome running good through that on my old wii. It was definitely Mame and iirc 2003 is the best build. Finding the correct rom set is another matter however!

Edit..... Coulda been SDLMAME. Sorry, cant really remember!

The amount of MAME cores available for Wii made the idea of using them intimidating, but I just tried them and I'm happy to report that Alien Syndrome works flawlessly with mame03_plus_coreD. Thank you for your answers, I'm looking forward to finding out what other games work better with MAME than they do with FBA.
