I had a really random question (and I hope I put this thread in the right section), about something Sega released earlier this year, the Gold Edition for some Sega Genesis collection that has well over forty games. Well, right now, some sights are reducing the price to $10 down from $30. While it would be nice to have a collection like this, there's one thing that concerns me; how accurate the YM2612 emulation is compared to a real console. Now, I know that GenesisPlusGX and Kega Fusion do an excellent job, I haven't so much as heard anything about this, except a few reviews. It's a trivial concern, I know, but how accurate an emulator's sound is may or may not make me want to use it (Zsnes vs Snes9x for example). So, what do you guys think? Does is have the weird sounds that Sonic the Hedgehog had on the PS3 collection? I'm just wondering if it would be worth it.
