Remember that to get the SNES Online version you need to do the whole online subscription thing. Sega might want people not needing it strictly to play one of the most iconic Puyo Puyo games (specially considering that you DO NOT need the online subscription to play).
I understand that, but not only is there two different "Puyo Puyo 2" but also puyo puyo champions, and puyo puyo tetris all on the same system which basically has all the gameplay that matters from the puyo puyo 2.
Just the same as sonic the hedgehog. Yes they have sega classics collection on switch and both sonic 1 & 2 included. Then sega ages sonic 1 & 2. They are the same game, except M2 Added some new things like spindash, drop dash, and that arcade mega play mode. Not really things people needed to play that game. It's true that they feature different methods of obtaining the game. Is still silly to feature the same type of game on the same system.
Maybe it's nice to buy the subscription and play the games, with a decent collection of games from nes and snes online app, maybe is better to just own the game and play it that way. But do we need 4 different ways to play what is basically the same puyo puyo on the same system? Don't you think there should be enough differences to have each of them mean a reason for existing on the same space? Is there a reason to own puyo puyo 2 if you already have puyo puyo tetris or champions?
