Hi guys,
I'm having trouble with seedstarter. I always get the following error:
"improper ID0 length or already in file"

Anybody got any pointers why that might be?
I mined my movable seed via userland homebrew. Strangely enough, when I enter my friends id0 string or the one from my id0 sub folder it successfully adds a Hash.

If anyone has the time to give it a shot, I'd greatly appreciate it!

have you tried actually mining the movable after getting the ID0 error?

edit: for others, when you extract your movable_part1.sed yourself via userland, it includes the ID0 already in the file

Oh yeah, completely forgot to mention that, yes I did try that and got a movable.sed and .bin from it which I tried putting into the DIS but the build failed.

Edit: Ahhhhhhh, just read your edit, that makes so much more sense now why it gave me an output. I guess my problem now is to figure out why the build failed.

Let's say you did the following two commands. This is essentially what would happen:

python id0 e3d39c148eb3eb0de96a3afdc90619f9
ok

python id0 e3d39c148eb3eb0de96a3afdc90619f9
error - because you added the same id0 that's already there.

yes it will, but the target system will lose all information, and all the information from the source will be moved to the target

you cannot use a pirated copy of the game for the transfer, it has to be a purchased copy

you will need to format the target after you transfer it, as it will contain the exact same friend code as you have now

If you still want to do this method after reading hunter's post, don't use the 3ds.guide version, use mine:

The guide is horribly outdated for dsiware transfer.
