Check this out, I just stumbled upon this by accident hitting the space bar instead of the c key.

Type the following into your browser and see what happens (make sure to include the space).

    youtube. om

It's nothing outstanding, I just found it odd that youtube somehow made that link work as a site.

EDIT: www. makes it not work

EDIT 2: microsoft. om does it too...weird

EDIT 3: Only works with Firefox too

MSN search is where the link goes, even without the www.

See that hole in your wall?
My firefox says "URL is invalid and cannot be loaded". But I think its just that thing where you can type a word in the address bar and it will do a Google "I'm feeling lucky" search.

On another note, I remember several years back, I accidentally typed yahpp.com and it went to yahoo.com. Doesn't seem to work anymore though.

Samutz is correct. This is just the work of firefox's address bar simply redirecting unknown urls to the "I'm feeling lucky" google feature, in that it just googles the entry and automatically opens the 1st result. type "youtube. om" in google and see the 1st entry

    Home, WhereElse?
Doesn't firefox have an option somewhere, that will make it try known extensions when the one you type doesn't work or is incorrectly formed?

ie: if I type just "microsoft" it will later try "microsoft.org" "microsoft.com" "www.microsoft" "www.microsoft.com" etc.

edit:/ unless that is entirely the old way...
