Hacking Searching help (point me in the right direction)

Hello gbatempers, I've been out of the wii hacking scene for a while. Currently my situation is to head to my local walmart and pick up a brand new Wii. (Most likely version 4.3U) I just wanted to get pointed in the right direction. What I want to do with my wii is have a usb loader (hard drive). Sorry if this post seems idiotic but the ModWii doesn't seem to work for me and I can't really find any other guides. I currently have most of the things I need, sdcard smash brothers (for stack smash).

What do you mean, ModMii does'nt seem to work?
Its THE easiest automated guide available.

ModMii doesn't work because it's not downloading the files. I know it's the easiest one out there. Try it yourself

The USBloader aspect doesn't work.

I HAVE tried it, I use it all the time for Wii hacking, at least 10+ consoles, running discs, USB loading, etc....
Are you sure your using the ModMii correctly?

1- it is run from your PC, not the Wii.
2- it asks you questions pertaining to your Wii.
3- it automatically downloads ALL of the files needed onto your PC.
4- it creates a folder on your desktop "copy to SD" with the files here.
5- you put these files in the root of your SD card.
6- you put the SD card into the Wii.
7- you follow the auto-generated guide.
