I have a Smash cart! How can I check which FW it contains?

I heard if I downgrade MSET, the system bricks if I do a System Format. Is it true in this case?

On a 2DS yes, if you downgrade MSET to the 4.x version. But the 6.x version also works, and won't brick if you format. There's no point in downgrading MSET anymore though, we have better ways to run CFW now (themehax)
I just meant if you get a 3DS that's missing the browser it will be on lower than 6.x firmware so the mset exploit will work without downgrading anything. The earliest 2DS' come with 6.1 or 6.0 so they will always include the browser.

2. its only dangerious if you do it wrong most pepole who brick with it update there consoles while in rx mode systemnand this = a brick
you need to use rxtools in dev mode (not every revision has this feature working i used revision 2.5.2) for the update and sucessfully updated from 6.0.0.12u to 9.2.0.20u

yeah, i downloaded it from 3dnus and deleted the three files earlier, so i have it handy if i need(it was also used to update my 3ds)

and i did not experience this and from what i read people who experienced this did not use sysupdater but a normal cia installer for the update process EX: fbi bbm or updated in systemnand instead of dev mode
i cant stress it enough must be in dev mode or you will brick

Make sure you don't brick your 3DS.

To use sysupdater with rxTools make sure you are on DEVELOPER MODE, many people brick their 3DS' because they just launch rxTools into system nand but this is NOT the same, regularly booting rxTools into sysnand uses firmlauch and bricks your 3DS, to use developer mode go to "Advanced options".

Use rxTools 2.5.2 or 3.0 beta 8, don't use the latest betas as they can be buggy and aren't completely finished.

Sysupdater 0.4.1 is the best to use.

i used 2.5.2 because in my opinion using something labeled beta for something considered dangerous = wtf?
i did what i was told in this post and it ended with a 9.2.0.20u 2ds

I've read that thread too. i wouldn't do anything related to installing system cia's before i was completely sure about wether it was going to mess up or not. Alway have a NAND backup, keep them on a hard drive usb and in the cloud all at the same in case ur house catches fire

u have 10.1.0-27 packed .cia for 3dnus? if any one have it plz sent it to me
