The title says it all. I've seen a similar thread, but it was only for N3DS XLs. So, what is my best bet, returns are rather difficult here. Even 2DSes can go. 3DSes 3DS XLs (not New), even the Smash bundles and other limited editions are still available. Thanks in advance!

if u are willing to import from norway there is a MOTHERLOAD of old3ds consoles here the prices range from 170 to 230 dollars i think. the sites are www.cdon.com and www.komplett.no (use the google site translator to look around the sites)

I'm not along the risk with importing. Can I send you links to some Hungarian sites (I live there), you run them through GTranslate and tell me which of the available consoles are below 9.3?
Feel free to say no, I know I'm asking a pretty time consuming thing...

all of the stock unopened old models is guranteed to be under 9.2 and those sites don't have refurbished ones (unless you go to komplett DEMO, but that is used items)

As mentioned, all new 2DS, o3DS and o3DS XL systems are on 9.2 or below. I believe the highest reported firmware on one of those systems is 8.1.0.

i bought a "brand new" 2ds 28 days ago at my local gamestop it was 6.0.0.12u (i got a mario kart bundle) $100usd

As mentioned, all new 2DS, o3DS and o3DS XL systems are on 9.2 or below. I believe the highest reported firmware on one of those systems is 8.1.0.

1. depends on firmware version (my 6.0.0.12u 2ds did)
2. no big difference your choice
3. Sysupdater 0.4.1 is the best to use

It should. Except for very old models that come on a low FW (1.0.0? not sure), they all include the browser.

If you don't have the browser it will be on old enough firmware that you can simply use the DS Profile exploit.
It is dangerous if you use sysupdater on certain CFWs, use the above guide to update with it safely.

idk, ive never heard of anyone using sysupdater to update a 2ds, ur best would be to use a smash cart, it either comes with 8.1 or 9.2

I've read that thread too. i wouldn't do anything related to installing system cia's before i was completely sure about wether it was going to mess up or not. Alway have a NAND backup, keep them on a hard drive usb and in the cloud all at the same in case ur house catches fire
